The Career Advocates (CAs) are student leaders in the Center for Career and Professional Development. CAs have demonstrated a strong interest in sharing their career development know-how with their peers. They are selected from a variety of majors and can be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs.
The Career Advocates function as liaisons to the broader student community and fulfill different roles within the CCPD. CAs offer drop-in résumé and cover letter reviews, help users master the ins and outs of Pratt Pro, produce networking events, organize site visits to remarkable companies, and plan career skills workshops.
On pleasant days the CAs will often be seen tabling on the lawn, greeting students on their way between classes and offering information about the benefits of engaging the CCPD early and often in their career. For many students, the CAs offer the first impression of all the great programs they will encounter at the CCPD.
Students interested in becoming a Career Advocate should contact the program supervisor, Mackenzie Adriance, Assistant Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
