Business Expense Policy

The Business Expense Policy applies to expenses incurred by a duly authorized Pratt Institute employee or trustee conducting Institute business.


Faculty Start-Up and Research Spending Policy

The following are approved guidelines for the use of faculty start-up and research funds. These policies govern institutional research funds, start-up accounts, named chair accounts, fellowship accounts, and grant-funded research.


Policy on Non-Academic Policies

This policy provides specific direction for the development, review, and maintenance of institute-wide non-academic policies deigned to promote consistency, efficacy and transparency and reflect best practice in higher education.


Preferred/Chosen Name Policy

A Preferred/Chosen name is a name that you use that is different from your legal name. When you select a Preferred/Chosen name, it will appear instead of your legal name on some institute related records and documents. Your legal name will appear on all other institute records and documents.


Procurement Card

The purpose of this manual is to provide guidelines for the issuance and use of the P-Card and ensure that sufficient controls are in place to mitigate risk. Responsibility for financial control of the use of the procurement cards rests with each cardholder or administrative unit.


Survey Policy

The Survey Policy establishes the Office of Strategic Planning and Institutional Research (SPIR) as survey coordinator and approval agency for surveys conducted through, or on behalf of, Pratt Institute. SPIR will offer guidance when needed, coordinate surveys, and build a central location for information about survey research at Pratt.

The purpose of this Travel Policy (the “Policy”) is to provide departments, supervisors, and employees with specific policies and procedures regarding Pratt Institute’s business and travel expenses.


Travel Services

Pratt Institute's travel management partnership is with Campus Travel. Campus Travel’s familiarity with higher education, their support services and technology platform match our travel needs. Campus Travel will provide services for all our air, hotel, car and train travel bookings. They are focused on providing a superior service and making travel easier for a greater travel experience.
