Todd Sines is the director of + SCALE, an award-winning multidisciplinary studio working in film, commercials, fashion and music, based in NYC. Over the last 20 years, his projects have included directing and designing commercials, film titles, music videos, visual effects, websites, identity systems, advertising, environmental graphics + signage, and various art installations + projections. His work for Focus Features, Universal, Miramax, The Weinstein Co, HBO, VH1, MTV, A&E and BIO has awarded his studio recognition from the Hollywood Reporter’s Key Art awards, One Show Interactive and Communicating Arts Interactive Annual. His early ‘zine design work was featured in Freestylin’ The Book by Nike. His photos were featured in the Michaelangelo Matos book, The Underground is Massive by Harpers Collins. His photography, films and writing have appeared in V Magazine, Spin, Vogue Italia, Washington Post, Red Bull Music Academy, Vice / Thump, SHK, Zink, Prophecy, XLR8R, RES, and is in pre-production on his first film, Internal.
In addition, he is also an accomplished musician and producer, touring Europe, Asia and the US extensively, with over 100 releases to his name, on labels Ghostly, Peacefrog, Planet E, Reinforced, Residual, Yore, 7th City, and many others. He has collaborated with Carl Craig, Daniel Bell, Richard Fearless of Death in Vegas, Sal Principato of Liquid Liquid and !!!. He has performed at Creative Time NYC, DEMF [Detroit Electronic Music Festival; Fabric/ London; Panorama, Berghain, Tape, WMF, Tresor/ Berlin; Moog, Macarena / Barcelona; Nouveau Casino/ Paris; Ochiai Soup in Tokyo, Japan; Synthposium, 16 Tons, Propaganda, Shanti and Denis Simachev in Moscow.
