Sasha Topolnytska

Biography
Sasha Topolnytska is a Ukrainian-born designer and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. Her independent design and research work focuses on inclusive placemaking through exploring relationships between people and their built environment. Sasha works on various scale of design from small toys and objects to large public community projects. She has been awarded NYCxDesign award for her collection of soft sculptures and toys Farmmm, designed to create a positive emotional experience and inspire inclusive play. And she has been a winner and finalist of various architecture & design competitions. Her collaborative projects have been supported by the New York State Council of the Arts and The Design Trust for Public Space.
Sasha has over a decade of architecture and interior design experience and previously has worked for award winning firms like Deborah Berke Partners, Architecture + Information and JG Neukomm Architecture. Sasha also currently teaches architecture at the Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York.
