maura chen is an architectural designer whose current research centers on physical spaces of mutual aid, cooperative ownership, and community agency in the face of colonial capitalism. infrastructural spatial logics, canted and carved intersecting geometries, the occupation of interstitial urban space, and intersection of race, gender, class, and informal economies figure prominently in the work. chen holds a ba in architecture from the university of california berkeley and a masters from the princeton university school of architecture.
