Matt Mahon

Biography
Matt is a specialist in architectural acoustics, electro-acoustics, and audiovisual design.
As an Associate with Arup in New York, he provides acoustic and audiovisual consulting services on architectural projects domestically and internationally. Matt focusses on buildings projects that span cultural to commercial. Recent notable projects include the Brooklyn performing arts venue, National Sawdust; expansions at the Frick Collection and the American Museum of Natural History; and the Isabel Bader Center for the Performing Arts at Queens University.
In addition to his work at Pratt, Matt is an adjunct instructor at the Cooper Union, teaching acoustics, noise, and vibration inside the mechanical engineering department. Matt has lectured in NYU's music technology program and at City Tech's architectural program. Matt graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He is formerly a producer and Director of Production at WNUR, a non-commercial radio station.
