Visiting Assistant Professor
As a former Architectural Designer at DE-YAN Marlon has designed stages for Alicia Keys at The Shed at Hudson Yards, as well as 3D virtual experiences for the launch of Rihanna’s Fenty Skin. Marlon has also contributed to the design of projects rang ing from Snapchat’s CES Virtual Partner Summit 2020 to the Design of Google’s event activation for the 2020 Olympics in Japan. He utilizes his 3D modeling and representation skills across many media, always seeking new ways to utilize computational tools in creative ways.
Marlon currently teaches foundation and representation studios at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and Pratt Institute. As a former adjunct instructor teaching 3D and 2D visual representation at Rutgers University’s Landscape Architecture Department, Marlon learned the value of being a selfless educator. Marlon has present his research on the intersections of racial disparities and architectural behavior and creation for Pratt Futures, Pratt’s School of Architecture student-led lecture series in collaboration with Pratt’s NOMAS. He has also presented his landscape design for Black Architects and Designers Guild (BADG) Virtual Concept House in a conversation hosted by the Interior Design Dept.
