Areas of research are 19th-20th Century European Art, Romanticism,19th-20th Century American Art, and American Activist Arts. Publications include The Religious Paintings of Eugene Delacroix (2008) rv: H-FRANCE v.9, no. 83 and essays in scholarly volumes including Nineteenth-Century Art Worldwide, Bulletin du Societe des Amis du Musee Nationale Eugene Delacroix, The Van Gogh Museum Journal, Religion and the Arts. Appointed Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History at The College of The Holy Cross (2014 2015); has organized several symposia on 19th-century Romantic art.
