Biography
Born in The Land (Cleveland, Ohio) in 1981, John Stanch graduated from Savannah College of Art & Design with highest honors in 2004. While at Savannah, he studied 3d animation but has since focused on compositing, 2d animation, and motion graphics for commercial, film, and fine art clients. In 2005, he joined uvphactory as a designer before becoming Lead Compositor and VFX Supervisor. Since 2010 he has freelanced for companies including but not limited to 1st Avenue Machine, Buck, Charlex, Good Company, Hornet, Imaginary Forces, Mirada, Not to Scale, Panda Panther, Passion Pictures, The Mill, and Sibling Rivalry. He has worked on visual effects and graphics for commercials, films, television series, television networks, installations, video games, music videos, and concerts for brands such as Activision, Adidas, Adobe, Amazon, AT&T, ESPN, Ford, Google, HBO, HP, IBM, Intel, Johnson & Johnson, The New York Times, Nike, Samsung, Sony, and Verizon. He teaches in the Department of Digital Arts at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and spends his free time designing and producing furniture, jewelry, and other fine artworks.
