Jacob Bek

Visiting Assistant Professor


Previous to forming his current practice, jba collective, Jacob Bek was a founding partner at studioMADOUHBEK and has worked with a number of international architecture offices, including Norman Foster + Partners and Reiser + Umemoto, RUR Architecture. Bek began his career working primarily on residential and institutional renovations, and went on to develop large-scale built projects in the United States and Middle East. He has been involved in numerous symposiums and exhibitions, and has shown work across the globe. Bek has received numerous awards for his work, most recently a recipient of an International Design Awards (IDA) award. He is a certified LEED AP, certified member of NCARB, member of the Architectural Association in London, and a Registered Architect in the states of New York and Massachusetts. Bek has taught various courses in architecture and design at Pratt Institute, Parsons School of Design and FIT.
