Brita Everett

Biography
Brita is currently a Senior Project Manager/Architect at Huntsman Architectural Group where she primarily focuses on building repositioning and commercial workplace design. Her work has been recognized by the AIA, LEED, Interior Design Magazine, Architectural Record, Fast Company, and Dezeen.
Brita has also published several peer-reviewed papers and has presented at architecture conferences internationally including the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) and Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP). Her academic and early post-collegiate work is focused on urban design and socioeconomic disparity among contested borders between neighborhoods which Brita began in New Orleans where she spent six years working in community planning, economic development, architecture and interiors. Her current research explores sustainability, systems philosophy, and the circular economy in the context of architectural practice and pedagogy.
