Vanity Fair interviewed internationally-acclaimed designer Marc Rosen, a Pratt Institute professor and alumnus, in an October 12 post on its beauty blog. Rosen was interviewed about iconic perfume bottle design, which he writes about in the recently published “Glamour Icons: Perfume Bottle Design” book (Antique Collectors’ Club, 2011). The book celebrates perfume bottle design as an art form, with proceeds from sales of the book benefiting the Marc Rosen Scholarship Fund for Packaging by Design at Pratt. Rosen teaches the only course in existence worldwide on fragrance packaging in Pratt’s graduate program in Communications Design.

The article is accompanied by an image slideshow of some of Rosen’s favorite memories from a lifetime in designing perfume bottles.
