The Brooklyn campus is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and the Manhattan campus is open Monday–Friday from 7:30 AM to 1 AM and Saturday and Sunday 8 AM to 11 PM to all current students, faculty and staff who have met the necessary requirements to come onto campus. Swipe card access to Pratt at the Pfizer Building is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to all current students, faculty and staff who have met the necessary requirements to come onto campus.

Hours of Operation – Amber

Under Amber conditions, hours and access through January 30 will be as follows: 

Studios, shops, and labs

  •     Studios used by a single individual will be open and available as usual.

  • Access to other studios will be limited:  

    • Priority will be given to graduating students, both undergraduate and graduate.

    • Beginning January 14, Students should reach out to department chairs or program coordinators to arrange access, recognizing that staffing issues may not allow all needs to be met.

  • Shops and labs will be closed to students as they are prepared for use when in-person classes resume on January 31.

  • All students will be able to pick up materials from studios and lockers. Beginning January 14, students can check with their departments about the best way to do this.

Computer labs and technology 

  • IT Computer Labs (PMC and Brooklyn), 2D, 3D, and Digital Cutting output centers will be closed during this time.

  • The Technology Desk (ARC, Room A03) will be open for in-person service by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6 PM. Appointments must be scheduled by using onePratt

  • For all technology-related information or assistance, go to onePratt to open a support case, and to find links to Pratt departments and campus services, knowledge articles, and more. 

Libraries

The Brooklyn and Manhattan campus libraries will be open on a reduced schedule. Most services will remain available during this period. Onsite research is limited to individual work; group work is not permitted onsite.  

Dining services

“Grab and go” service is encouraged and dining hall seating capacity is reduced. Limited dine-in seating will be available to one person per table for 15 minutes.

Mail and Print Services 

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. 

ARC Workout and Recreation Facilities

Beginning January 17, students, faculty and staff can book time in the ARC at goprattgo.com by selecting “recreation” for additional information and instructions. Email questions to memberships coordinator David Ringwood at dringwoo@pratt.edu.

Pfizer Shuttle

The Pfizer Shuttle will be running from the Brooklyn campus to Pfizer Studios starting on January, 18.

Hall Street Gate

The Hall Street gate will be closed December 23, starting at 4 PM, and will reopen January 14 at 8 AM.  Hours of operation will be 7 days per week from 8 am to 12 midnight. Please use the Main Gate entrance on Willoughby Avenue with your Digital ID or use any of the turnstiles for card-swipe access to the Brooklyn campus. 

Student Services Office Hours

All campus offices are open and available via email and by phone Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM. Offices serving students are open for in-person interactions with appointments recommended. Instructions for scheduling appointments can be found on each department’s website.
