Enter the fast-growing field of user experience design for services, native apps, and responsive web interfaces through Pratt’s Certificate in UX/UI Design.

The program will provide you with all of the building blocks to get started as a designer. Commencing with an introduction to the field, through best practices and methodologies in user research, you’ll finish knowing how to manifest your designs so they are deliverable both to clients and developers.

The program consists of three modules:

Digital Product Design

Shape powerful user experiences through information architecture, interaction design, visual design, inclusive design, and usability testing. A design brief will provide a foundation for your Digital Product Design project, which will be shaped into a case study for your portfolio.

Human-Centered Design

Learn how to apply UX research through deep analysis and synthesis, service design blueprinting, and rapid prototyping to inform meaningful user-centered results. A design brief will provide a foundation for your Human-Centered Design project, which will be shaped into a case study for your portfolio.

Portfolio

Refine your portfolio. Access valuable resources and feedback to help launch your career. Learn how to present projects and network. This is your final step before embarking on your first job as an experience designer.

This program features small, interactive classes, real-time instruction (either in-person, or on Zoom), free access to software for remote use, and free access to designated campus labs. Students will earn a certificate upon successful completion of all required courses with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Approximate cost of the certificate is $7000 (16 weeks).
