Programs
As a film/video department situated within an art school, you will get a foundation in seeing, thinking, and making at Pratt that you won’t find at many film schools.
Our students make narrative, documentary, and experimental work starting in their first semester. They are encouraged to take creative risks, push the medium, and to innovate in the field. You will leave our program a total filmmaker, well-versed in every aspect of filmmaking from cinematography and screenwriting to producing and editing. We believe this makes for stronger filmmakers and it means that our students are more flexible in the job market upon graduation, able to do just about anything.
