Balenciaga and The Black Alumni of Pratt (BAP) Scholarship Information Session
Renowned fashion house Balenciaga and The Black Alumni of Pratt (BAP) have partnered to establish two full undergraduate scholarships for Pratt Institute students. These scholarships, funded by a generous gift from Balenciaga, will support diversity within fashion and design education and their professional fields, where diverse voices are often underrepresented. The Balenciaga and The Black Alumni of Pratt (BAP) Full Scholarship covers the full cost of undergraduate attendance—including tuition, fees, room and board, supplies, and books—for two students. *These scholarships are to be awarded for the fall of 2021, with one supporting an incoming student in the fashion program and the other supporting an incoming student in design, art, or architecture.
Session Dates (11am-12:30pm Eastern Standard):
- October 17
- November 7
These sessions include a general virtual undergraduate information session as described above plus additional information specific to the Balenciaga Scholarship. Students may also arrange a portfolio review by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org in advance.
*Students will not need to submit an additional scholarship application for consideration. However, they must complete and file the FAFSA. All applicants meeting eligibility criteria will automatically be considered. The scholarships will be granted to students with demonstrated financial need, merit, excellent portfolio, and a competitive GPA. Recipients must U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are first-time college applicants and demonstrate significant financial need.
All options listed below are currently held in virtual formats as noted above.
