OIA Arrival Check-In For New And Returning International Students

All incoming F-1 status international students with new “initial” I-20s need to complete OIA Arrival Check-In for your immigration status. This is a time-sensitive requirement immediately following your arrival.

You will submit proof you have arrived to the U.S. in F-1 status. An OIA Designated School Official (DSO) will then activate your SEVIS record as required at the beginning of your I-20 program.

You cannot complete OIA Arrival Check-in until you have arrived in the U.S. in F-1 status to start your studies at Pratt. You should complete check-in by the start date of the semester.

You will need to upload the following info (Onekey required):

  • most recent I-94 (click “get most recent I-94” and download a PDF)
  • F-1 student visa
  • current address in NYC
  • emergency contact info

Failure to complete OIA Arrival Check-in by the beginning of the semester means that we cannot activate your SEVIS record as required by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Lack of timely check-in can cause auto-termination of your SEVIS record and loss of your valid F-1 immigration status in the U.S.
