Bequest
Making a bequest to Pratt involves naming Pratt as a beneficiary in your will. At the time of your death, Pratt can receive a fixed amount or a percentage of your estate. It is easy to provide for Pratt in your will. We would be happy to speak with you or your attorney to make sure that the language in your will allows your intentions to be fulfilled. The following language could be used in your will:
"I give, devise, and bequeath to Pratt Institute, a not-for-profit educational institution located at 200 Willoughby Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11205, and incorporated in the State of New York, the amount of <$x or x% > of my estate for the general purposes of Pratt Institute."
Donors contributing large amounts through their estate may wish to consider a named planned gift designated for a specific purpose. Please contact us to discuss options.
You don't have to make a large gift to make a big difference
