Academic Guide for 2012-2013

Office Hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 10 AM–4 PM
Thursday: 10 AM–6 PM
 

In order to view your schedule, you should log into your Academic Tools:

1. Log in with your OneKey at https://my.pratt.edu. (Forget your OneKey?)
2. Click on the Academic Tools tab near the top of the page.
3. Click on the red Academic Tools link.
4. After the system logs you in, click on the "STUDENTS" menu on the sidebar.
5. Click on Class Schedule under My Courses.
6. Choose the appropriate term (ex: Spring 2012ad) from the drop box and click submit.

Official Transcripts

Pratt Institute has teamed with the National Student Clearinghouse to handle orders for official transcripts online. More information can be viewed at the Transcripts page.

Other Services Available at the Registrar's Office

Enrollment Verification

Students can now obtain proof of their enrollment at Pratt Institute through MyPratt. Log in and click on the Academic Tools tab near the top of the page. Then click on "VERIFICATION AND TRANSCRIPTS" (under Student Self-Service). A student can also present their Pratt ID at the Registrar's Office to receive a printed copy on Pratt Institute letterhead.

Granting Parent Rights

Students now have the option of granting a parent or other guardian the right to access academic records, financial records, or both. This can be done through the Academic Tools student menu (under My Personal Information). If the person is not already in your records, you must first "Request add of Parent." See our step-by-step instructions for more information.

Change of Address

Students can view their Preferred Mailing Address on their My.Pratt dashboard (click Preferred Address). The Dashboard module is placed by default in the upper-left of the screen.

In Person  Students may file a change of address by completing a Change of Address form at the Registrar's Office.
By Email  Students may also notify the Registrar of an address change by sending a message through their Pratt e-mail address to reg@pratt.edu.

Class Schedules

A Schedule of Classes (direct link) for upcoming semesters is available online through Academic Tools. Log-in to your My.Pratt account and select Academic Tools. Click on "STUDENTS" menu and then "Search for Sections" under Registration (left column). Once you are at the Search for Sections screen you must enter a term from the drop down menu next to term and a subject. Then click submit. The more information you enter the narrower your search results.

A registry of courses being offered in the current or future semesters and space availability can be found in the Quick Course Catalog Search. Undergraduate and Graduate Bulletins for the current academic year can be downloaded or requested through the admissions office.

Change of Major

Students who wish to change majors WITHIN their school (e.g. from Painting to Drawing in the School of Art and Design) must fill out the Change of Major form, obtain the signatures indicated, and return it to the Office of the Registrar for processing.

Students who wish to transfer from one school to another in the Institute (e.g. from Painting the School of Art and Design to the School of Architecture) must complete a Change of School Transfer Application and return it to the Office of Admissions no later than June 1 for the fall term and December 15 for the spring term. A $50 application fee must accompany this application. Students must meet the admissions criteria for the program to which they are applying. Credit transferred to the new program from either Pratt or other colleges is not computed in the new grade point average. Students are required to make an appointment with the Office of Admissions to determine transfer credit. A limit of one transfer between schools will be considered. Students requesting a second transfer will be required to obtain additional approval from both deans and the Office of the Provost.
