Pratt Institute is dedicated to providing excellence in safety and security service to the Pratt community. As safety and security officers, we continuously strive to provide a safe and secure environment conducive to a positive educational process.

Director's Message

On behalf of the members of the Pratt Institute department of Safety and Security, I welcome you to the home page for the Department. Throughout these pages we have provided very useful information concerning personal safety and security, crime prevention tips, fire safety tips, tips for protecting your personal property, parking, alerts and much more. We hope this information will be of help to all members of the Pratt community.

Through an active security presence we endeavor to provide an environment that is free of crime and conducive to the educational process. However, although security and safety is our job, it is the responsibility of all students, faculty, and staff to put a keen eye towards crime prevention. It is imperative that we work together.
