C-Board Programs & Volunteer Resources

Looking for volunteer opportunities? Check out the latest version of our C-Board Digest below!

In addition to our regular projects, C-Board also sponsors the Alternative Spring Break trip and Team Pratt programs. For information on any of these projects, email cboard@pratt.edu.

Alternative Spring Break Trip

C-Board also sponsors Pratt's annual Alternative Spring Break trip. Each Spring, a small group of Pratt students travel outside of NYC and dedicate part of their break to helping out with notable issues and causes.

In the past, students have traveled to upstate New York, the Florida Keys, and Puerto Rico to do service work.  These opportunities have included Habitat for Humanity & the American Hiking Society.

This Year's Upcoming Spring Break Trip will be to New Orleans!  We will be working with an organization titled Relief Spark.

Team Pratt

The goal of Team Pratt is to establish a long term service project involving the community surrounding Pratt while supporting students throughout their volunteer experience.

Members of Team Pratt volunteer as a group every other Saturday afternoon at a local volunteer opportunity.  This year, the Community Engagement Board has decided to volunteer with the Sean Casey Animal Rescue!

If interested, please email cboard@pratt.edu.

1.  Time for Change

Dear Students,

We’d like to ask you this question: what have you done for your community this year?  With mid-terms nearly over, we hope that you have more time to experience and explore your community.  Get involved with local causes, get active with different groups, and most importantly, give back what you can to those who need it.

2. Alternative Spring Break Applications Due (10/21) 5 PM

The time has finally come!  Make sure you have filled out your application for this year’s trip and have it submitted to the student involvement office (located in Chapel Hall) by 5 PM this Friday.  You can still pick up the application or have it sent to you by contacting cboard@pratt.edu.

3. Sean Casey Animal Rescue (10/22) 12 PM

The Community Engagement Board will once again be visiting the Sean Casey Animal Rescue this weekend!  Spots are limited, so please email cboard@pratt.edu if you are interested in attending.  We will be meeting at 12PM at the cannon this Saturday

4. Movie for a Cause (10/27)

Join the Community Engagement Board in viewing our movie of the month!  This year after tabulating the students surveyed, they are planning to show The Shining and Rosemary’s Baby!  Food and drink will be provided.  Information about the space and time is forthcoming.  For questions, contact cboard@pratt.edu
