Community Service @ Pratt

Pratt students interested in community service or volunteer work have a variety of options to get involved and give back to the community.

In addition to the projects listed below, information about our other service programs and resources can be found on the left-hand column under "Community Service." These additional pages include details about the Alternative Spring Break trip, the Team Pratt initiative, and our volunteer database.

About the C-Board

The Community Engagement Board (or C-Board) consists of a group of Pratt students who organize and plan service, volunteer, and civic engagement opportunities for the campus community. This includes overseeing the Team Pratt project and planning Pratt's annual Alternative Spring Break trip.

Studies show that students who participate in frequent community service and volunteer work are more likely to succeed and have higher grade point averages than those who do none at all. In an effort to focus on and promote Pratt's interest in community service in the college environment, the C-Board was created in Fall 2008.

Our goal is to not only get students involved with community service, but to also help participants learn about the larger issues behind the projects we work on.
