Commencement Ceremony 2012

Pratt Institute's next Commencement Ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9th 2012 at Radio City Music Hall.
Remember: Graduation and Commencement are separate events.
You must complete your graduation application in order to graduate.
Need to apply for graduation?
Commencement and Graduation are separate events. Participation in the Commencement Ceremony does NOT mean you have graduated. Commencement exercises are ceremonial and symbolic. Your participation in the Commencement Ceremony should not be confused with your actual graduation from the Institute.
Students do not officially graduate from Pratt Institute until they have applied for graduation and completed all degree requirements as defined in their degree audit. They must remain in good academic standing. Students with a hold on their record will graduate but they may not be eligible to receive their diploma until all holds have been resolved.

Who can participate? The students who graduated at the end of the summer semester 2011, fall semester 2011, and students who are candidates for graduation at the end of spring semester 2012 are invited to participate in the Commencement Ceremony held on May 9, 2012.
Students who will complete their requirements in Summer 2012 or Fall 2012, but who want to walk in the 2012 Ceremony rather than wait for their proper 2013 Ceremony may fill out out a Permission to Walk form. Students must have 12 credits or fewer left at the end of Spring 2012 semester to be eligible to walk early. The deadline to turn in Permission to Walk forms is March 9th.
Where is the ceremony? Radio City Music Hall 1260 Avenue of the Americas (6th Avenue) at 50th Street in Manhattan.
What time is the ceremony? The ceremony will begin at 2:00 p.m. Students must be at Radio City by 12:30 p.m. for check-in. The ceremony will last approximately two and a half hours and graduates will be required to stay until the end of the ceremony. Students arriving late will NOT be seated with the graduates or be allowed to walk on stage.
How will I get in? Do I need a ticket? If you are walking in the ceremony, you do not need a ticket. You MUST BE WEARING your cap and gown.
What about tickets for my guests? All guests are required to have a ticket (including infants) to enter Radio City. All students participating in May Commencement may pick up 4 guest tickets at the graduation fair.
