Pratt Study Abroad Students Featured on CBS Sunday Morning Segment on Venice Biennale
Sunday Morning, a national morning news program airing on the CBS network with more than 5 million viewers, aired a segment featuring Pratt students who participated in the Institute's Pratt in Venice Program in its November 27 broadcast. Sunday Morning correspondent Seth Doane interviewed students from the program about work on display at the Venice Biennale, an international contemporary art exhibition that takes place every two years in Venice, Italy, and which coincided with their study abroad program.
Pratt's study abroad program in Venice, now in its 27th year, is open to undergraduate and graduate students from various departments at Pratt and integrates classes in studio art with art history. Non-Pratt students are also welcome to apply to the Pratt in Venice Program. Classes include: painting, drawing, and printmaking; materials and techniques; and art history. There are four or five Pratt faculty members who participate in the program, whose site was chosen because of its artistic importance and extraordinary visual richness.
