Alumnus and Fine Artist Gets National Press for New Version of Washington Crossing The Delaware
Illustration alumnus Mort Kunstler was featured in various national news outlets for a painting that depicts a more "historically accurate" version of General George Washington crossing the Delaware River. Kunstler invested two months of research into the history behind his painting, which was unveiled by the New York Historical Society in late December. The original painting by Emanuel Leutze is one of the best-known of American paintings. Kunstler's work was profiled on the AP, The New York Times, and on ABC News.
