Urban Environmental Systems Management Students to present Capstone Projects this weekend!

Six graduating students from the Urban Environmental Systems Management program at Pratt Institute PSPD will give final presentations of their capstone projects this weekend, as part of . A capstone project represents the culmination of a student's UESM curriculum, a means through which degree candidates may explore their personal interests and demonstrate professional competency in Environmental Systems, Environmental Policy, Sustainable Design, and similar fields. Presenting students and projects for this semester are as follows:
December 9, 2011 (Higgins Hall North 406):
6:00pm- Phil Davis: Rietveld Architects Sustainability Audit
6:30pm- Amy Vaughan: Design & Build of a Sustainable Home in Sag Harbor
7:00pm- Patrick Wickman: Analysis of Two Green Infrastructure Designs in the Jamaica Bay Watershed
December 10, 2011 (Higgins Hall South 513):
3:00pm- George Boueri: Iconic Waste-to-Energy Facility in Beirut, Lebanon
3:30pm- Mawuena Quarcoo: Analysis of New York's Electronics Recycling Law
4:00pm- Laura Senkevitch: Sustainable Plastics Recycling in New jersey
Remember to take in presentations by Community and Regional Planning students as well; degree candidates will speak of their experience in this year's internships and fellowships, and present their final Thesis projects. Also featured in PSPD's Final Presentation Week are the unveiling of three interdisciplinary studio projects, a Gowanus Planning Studio and an Affordable Housing Studio from this Fall, and the Copenhagen DIS Studio from this Summer.
