Stacey Leveille thesis

Posted on Oct 15 2009

Stacey Leveille is originally from Uniondale, Long Island New York and comes from a big supportive family. Her concentration for her senior collection is Full Figure Women's Sportswear. The inspiration is The Taino' Indians of the island of Hispaniola but her focus is from the Haitian Natives that were also called the Arawak's. The idea is that this woman is trying to hold onto her native roots while living in present day society. This woman is sophisticated and comfortable in her own body. This is the second year that a full figure line will be represented in the Pratt Fashion Show. Stacey feels that Full Figure Women line misrepresent it's costumer. "This woman like any woman wants to look good and her shape should not deny her some luxuries others don't."
