Pratt PSPD to Host Grow Biointensive® 3-Day Workshop by John Jeavons of Ecology Action

Pratt Institute Programs for Sustainable Planning and Development and the Urban Environmental Systems Management program are proud to present a 3-day workshop with biointensive farming expert John Jeavons, of Ecology Action.
The workshop, to be held January 6-8, is open to the public; the total cost is $400, but any student (from any institution of higher learning) can gain FREE ENTRY via the Call for Ideas described below!
The event will consist of lecture, discussion and demonstration sessions, and will include a full range of information on Sustainability and Efficient Resource Use, Arid Region Farming Principles, Crops and Diet, Fertilization, Compost and Compost Crops, Soil Preparation and Preservation, Seed Propagation, and Income, as well as the perspective to tie all these together.

workshop! Read below for details.
Brief
Propose, either graphically or in written form, how to best GrowBiointensive® in an extreme urban environment, such as New York City.
Graphic submissions should be sent in PDF or JPEG format, 200-300 dpi, 11x17 max page size.Written submissions should not exceed 800 words, and should be sent in either PDF or DOC format.
Submissions are due as attachments via e-mail to Jaime Stein, Coordinator of Pratt Institute's Urban Environmental Systems Management Program, at jstein9@pratt.edu or esmpratt@gmail.com by December 30th, 2011.
Winners will gain FREE ENTRY to the January 6-8 workshop!
