Thursday, Apr 07, 2011 @ 9:04 pm

MultipliCITY, the newsletter of Pratt's Programs for Sustainable Planning and Development, is excited to announce its Spring 2011 issue. This time, it's all about water: from comprehensive watershed and waterfront planning to grass-roots water quality advocacy and green infrastructure, the new issue of MultipliCITY highlights faculty and student work that is having a major impact on one of our city's most precious natural resources.
Available for download here, MultipliCITY features contributions from Carter Craft, Toby Snyder, Jaime Stein, Ira Stern, Laura Stinger, Meg Walker and Kate Zidar.
Also available for download below is an excerpt from aakriti, a student magazine from the Goa College of Architecture, a partner institute in Pratt's international studios in Goa, India in 2010 and 2011, through which Pratt PSPD students have addressed waterfront planning and wastewater issues in the Indian villages of Agonda and Parra. Highlighting the participatory planning process and the outcomes of community visioning workshops undertaken by students from Pratt and the Goa College of Architecture, the articles by students and faculty from Goa describe the local impacts of the sustainable planning workshops in these two communities.
