Message from the Registrar’s Office - Add/Drop Period for Spring 2013 and Tuition Refund Schedule
Monday, Jan 14, 2013 @ 9:39 am
The Office of the Registrar welcomes parents and students to the Spring 2013 semester!
The add/drop period for Spring 2013 is from January 14 until January 28. Students can add classes and drop classes without a grade of WD (withdrawal) during this time. Dropping classes after January 14 may incur tuition forfeiture fees and we encourage all students adding and dropping courses during this time to monitor their bills carefully.
Students receive an 85% tuition refund between January 15 and January 21; a 70% refund between January 22 and January 28; and a 55% refund between January 29 and February 4. No refund will be given after February 4.
Students who plan on finishing their degree requirements in Spring 2013 should have already submitted an online graduation application through the Academic Tools Student Menu via their MyPratt account. If your student is planning on graduating in Spring 2013 and has not applied for graduation, they must do so IMMEDIATELY. Students without graduation applications will not graduate.
Students who applied early for Spring 2013 graduation have already been receiving graduation and Commencement Ceremony information in their Pratt emails. Parents and guardians of early applicants should have also received a packet of Commencement Ceremony information in the mail. If parents and guardians have NOT received Commencement Ceremony information in the mail, please double-check with your student and make sure they have submitted a graduation application online AND the address(es) on record are correct.
Students who will graduate in Summer 2013 but want to walk in the Spring 2013 Ceremony may petition to walk early by filling out a Permission to Walk form and submitting it to the Registrar’s Office. Summer 2013 graduates’ name will NOT appear in the Spring 2013 Commencement program.
The 2013 Commencement Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at Radio City Music Hall. All students who wish to walk in the Ceremony must purchase a cap and gown and attend the Graduation Fair. Information about the Ceremony, including regalia ordering and the Permission to Walk form, is available at the following website:
Thank you very much.
