Greetings Parents and Families,

It is my pleasure to welcome you all to Pratt Institute, whether you are a new parent and family member or a returning one. This year, Parent and Family Programs at Pratt Institute has a new mission statement:

“The mission of Parent and Family Programs  at Pratt is to provide parents with the resources to support and encourage the success of their Pratt student. Pratt Institute recognizes that parents are valuable members of the Pratt community and have much to contribute to Pratt. We encourage parent involvement in the Pratt Community.”

Our new parent philosophy is to develop a relationship with parents and families that is a partnership, valuing their involvement in the Pratt community, and at the same time we want to promote student responsibility. We will continue to provide the services and support needed for students to succeed at Pratt.

Pratt Institute has reached its 125th year as an institution, and we are happy to share this exciting time with you all. We look forward to working with you in the future. We hope that you enjoy this issue. Please let us know if there are any comments or suggestions you may have.
