NYC Environmental Justice Alliance
The New York City Environmental Justice Alliance (NYCEJA) is an umbrella organization comprised of member groups based in low-income test communities throughout New York City. Founded in 1991 by environmental activists in New York’s low-income communities of color, NYCEJA co-powers its member organizations to fight against environmental injustice by the coordination of citywide campaigns.

Environmental Justice Resource Center
The overall goal of the center is to assist, support, train, and educate people of color students, professionals, and grassroots community leaders with the goal of facilitating their inclusion into the mainstream of environmental decision-making. The center is multi-disciplinary in its focus and approach. It serves as a bridge among the social and behavioral sciences, natural and physical sciences, engineering, management, and legal disciplines to solve environmental problems.

Center for Health, Environment and Justice
Through training, coalition-building and one-on-one technical and organizing assistance, the Center for Health, Environment and Justice (CHEJ) works to level the playing field so that people can have a say in the environmental policies and decisions that affect their health and well-being. By organizing one school, one neighborhood, one community at a time, CHEJ is making the world cleaner and healthier for all of us.

Sustainable South Bronx
The mission of Sustainable South Bronx is Environmental Justice through innovative, economically sustainable projects that are informed by the needs of the community. Founded in 2001 by life-long Hunts Point resident, Majora Carter, SSB also addresses land-use, energy, transportation, water and waste policy, and education in order to advance the environmental and economic rebirth of the South Bronx to inspire solutions in areas like it across the nation and the globe.

West Harlem Environmental Action, Inc. (WE ACT) is a non-profit, community-based, environmental justice organization dedicated to building community power to fight environmental racism and improve environmental health, protection and policy in communities of color.
