DDA Faculty wins American Society of Composers award

Svjetlana Bukvich-Nichols, Visiting Associate Instructor

Svjetlana Bukvich-Nichols has been named the 2009-2010 recipient of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers Plus Award in the Concert Music Division. This award juried by a professional Panel and is based on her catalogue of compositions and performances.

Svjetlana's recent performances include:

Beijing International Congress on Women in Music, the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.,
The American Festival of Microtonal Music, SABCTV Art Works in South Africa,
The 15. International Review of Composers in Belgrade,
Museum of Modern Art in Copenhagen,
International Festival for Cutting Edge Dance Theater in London
