Tuesday, Oct 26, 2010 @ 5:39 am

In the 2010/2011 school year, Professor Mark Goetz coordinated a collaboration between students from his Graduate Furniture Studio and Tim Richartz’s Senior Furniture Studio with world renowned furniture company Cappellini. Students were encouraged to formulate their own unique vision of the future and then challenged to materialize this vision into a piece of furniture.

Professionals from Cappellini provided input and critiques from sales, marketing, and design points of view and selected what they considered to be the finest examples of the student’s work. Pieces were exhibited at the Cappellini Manhattan showroom, as well as in the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in an exhibit entitled “Perpetual Motion”.
