U.S. News & World Report Ranks Pratt #26 in Annual Best Colleges Publication

Pratt Institute is ranked #26 in the category of "Regional University North" according to U.S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of Best Colleges. The publication defines Regional Universities as institutions that offer a full range of programs and some master's degree programs but few doctoral programs. The Regional Universities category is further broken down by those in the North, South, Midwest, and West regions of the country.

This is the first time that Pratt has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report in its Best Colleges rankings because of a recent update made to the classification system for rankings of institutions of higher learning.

Pratt is tied for #26 in its rankings category with Hood College (Frederick, MD), Nazareth College (Rochester, NY), and Ramapo College of New Jersey (Mahwah, NJ). The highest ranked institutions in Pratt's category are Villanova University (Villanova, PA), Fairfield University (Fairfield, CT), and Loyola University Maryland (Baltimore, MD).

U.S. News & World Report also included the following three rankings types (in additional to Regional Universities Rankings) National University Rankings, National Lberal Arts College Rankings, and Regional College Rankings.
