The New York Times highlighted Pratt fashion design instructor Emily Putterman in a February 4 article on shoemaking. Putterman, who teaches a popular shoemaking course at the Institute, is a second instructor at a shoemaking course taught by "shoe guru" Llorraine Neithardt. The course, titled "The Art of the Shoe: Bewitched, Bespoked and Bewildered" is designed to help aspiring shoe designers learn the craft of making shoes by hand.
