Pratt Institute

Portions of musician, poet, and performer Patti Smith's 2010 Pratt Commencement remarks were featured on mediabistro.com's UnBeige blog. Smith addressed approximately 1,400 degree recipients, their family, and friends at the Institute's commencement ceremony that took place at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan. Smith was one of five to receive honorary degrees including former New York City Landmarks Commissioner Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel; novelist Jonathan Lethem; architect Daniel Libeskind; The Museum of Modern Art Director Glenn Lowry; and director Steven Soderbergh.
