School of Information and Library Science Dean Interviewed for International Radio Program

Tula Giannini, Dean of Pratt's School of Information and Library Science, was interviewed for a public radio segment on how libraries are adapting to aid the unemployed in their job searches that aired internationally as part of American Public Media's (APM) Marketplace program on Thursday, April 15, 2010. Giannini was interviewed about the role that library schools play in teaching students to assist library users in their searches by utilizing the latest technology.

Marketplace is a program that appeals to the broad public radio information audience. It airs locally on WNYC-AM 820 and WNYC-FM 93.9 Mondays through Fridays at 6:30 p.m.

Marketplace, Marketplace Morning Report, and Marketplace Money are heard by an audience of more than 9.1 million unique listeners in the course of a week, on 486 public radio stations nationwide. Marketplace is produced and distributed by APM and is heard internationally via the American Forces Radio and Television Service. In addition to APM, Public Radio International and National Public Radio distribute and produce national programs. It is also distributed worldwide by American Forces Radio.
