Parent and Family Orientation

Parent and Family Orientation 2012 is not yet scheduled.

Every year, Pratt holds an orientation program for parents and family members that runs concurrently with New Student Orientation. As New Student Orientation strives to provide a way for new students to adjust to their new surroundings and new life as a student at Pratt, Parent and Family Orientation strives to provide a way for parents and family members to get acquainted as well. With seminars and activities catered specifically to the concerns of parents and family members, Parent and Family Orientation is a way for parents and family members to not only get familiar with the physical aspects of Pratt's campus but to gain familiarity with various important campus departments and relevant issues for students in New York City.

Here are the dates for the full Fall 2012 Orientation schedule

• August 19     Residence Hall move in for International Students
• August 20     International Orientation begins
• August 21     Residence Hall move in for Domestic students
• August 21-24   New Student Orientation for all new students

 

Family Weekend

Family Weekend 2012 is not yet scheduled.

Family Weekend is an annual program designed for parents and family members to come back to Pratt after their students have adjusted well into the Fall semester. Not only is Family Weekend a time for parents and family members to visit their students, it is also a time for them to get a glimpse into what goes on at Pratt by participating throughout the day in workshops and classes led by faculty.  This year, Family Weekend will be combined with the 125th Anniversary Kick-off and will include events that showcase the progress and accomplishments of Pratt Institute.

Commencement
