2. Complete Entrance Counseling on the FastFacts® site below. Entrance Counseling is the second step of obtaining financial aid at Pratt Institute. The US Department of Education requires that all students receiving a student loan must complete a brief counseling session. On this site, you will review general information. You will also take a brief quiz verifying your understanding of the student loan process. This step should take between 15 and 30 minutes.

3. New Students: Although Pratt Institute does not and will not choose a specific lender for you, we feel it is important to help guide borrowers in their search for educational financing. This list is a starting point for students and parents to compare the available benefits offered by various lenders. There is no obligation for students or parents to use a lender from the suggested list. Pratt Institute will process a student/parent loan from any lender that the student or parent chooses. These are our suggested lenders for the 2009-10 academic year. We encourage you to compare lenders, choosing the best for you. This list of lenders was selected on the basis of low cost, high quality processing and excellent customer service. Please compare borrower benefits of all of the above listed lenders prior to making your final choice.

Also, you will be reminded of your rights and responsibilities as a Federal Stafford Loan/GradPLUS borrower.
*THIS IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT FOR ALL STUDENTS WITH FEDERAL STAFFORD LOANS AND/OR GRADPLUS LOANS.
