Biography

Amy Guggenheim is a filmmaker and writer. Her work in theater and film focuses on violence, intimacy, and sexuality, and has been presented internationally with support from the NYSCA, the American Embassy, Fulbright, Mellon Fund, and published in American Letters and Commentary, and the Italian literary journal Storie. She is a 2008/9 Asian Cultural Council Fellow and La Mama Theater Resident in support of her feature film; When Night Turns to Day, slated to be shot in 2010.
