Minor in Cultural Studies
Cultural Studies is an interdisciplinary minor that provides students with an understanding of the diversity of human experience through the critical analysis of contemporary and historical material expressions -- objects, communities and identities, bodies, institutions and environments -- of the social world. Cultural Studies emerged from many traditions in the social sciences, humanities, and intellectual movements that never found a home within the academy and yet have had a profound influence on how we understand the relations of humans to each other and of society to nature.
