EducationMLS, Long Island University BiographyLea E. Osborne is the Head of Archival Processing in the Manuscripts and Archives Division at New York Public Library. There, she oversees the processing of archival collections from both the Manuscripts Division and the Library for the Performing Arts. Previously, she has was the first dedicated processing archivist at the Rare Book & Manuscript Library at Columbia University. Before Columbia, Lea was the Project Archivist and Intern Supervisor at the Leo Baeck Institute at the Center for Jewish History and the Archivist at the Junior League in the City of New York. She has a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Rutgers University, a M.A. in U.S. History from Sarah Lawrence College, and a M.S. in Information Science from Long Island University. She is a member of SAA, including membership in the Roundtable for Archivists of Color; MARAC; and NYART (Archivists Roundtable of Metropolitan New York, Inc.). |
