About CCPS

Welcome To Pratt's Continuing and Professional Studies, (CCPS)

At CCPS, we are committed to serving the learning needs of diverse, non-traditional students, such as adults, youth, and alumni.

Our goals are to:

1. enhance our students' creativity, professional expertise, and networking opportunities in their chosen fields

2. complement Pratt's regular program offerings

3. be relevant to today's and tomorrow's world

4. meet special scheduling needs such as through accelerated degrees (graduate and undergraduate), and evening- or weekend certificates (credit or non-credit).

We also offer intensive immersion programs, such as summer college intensives; pre-college programs and services; and study abroad programs; as well as stand-alone courses, workshops, and special events (non-credit).

More specifically, we are a Center where:

1. art, design or architecture or music students and alumni can learn to apply their skills to specific professions, vocations, or to the management of creative enterprises that contribute positively to today's and tomorrow's world;

2. non-major college students can take advantage of summertime to immerse themselves into intensive courses whereby they can gain skills and competencies in art, design, or architecture, while earning elective credits for further academic advancement in the degrees of their choice;

3. creative professionals in their fields (art, design, or achitecture) can further enhance or upgrade their skills: a) for compliance with their professions required standards; b) for innovative project and idea development; and c) for potential new collaborations with other professionals, by leveraging Pratt's dynamic networking community of creative professionals.

4. adults from all walks of life can keep learning, exploring, and experimenting with time-tested and innovative ideas, skills, and practices, by taking courses for their personal enrichment and/or credit, career advancement. We also prepare you for admission into Pratt's graduate programs if you are non major student.

5. Middle and high school students from the local community, country, and the world, can explore various majors and prepare for successful admission into the colleges of their choice, through our various pre-college programs and services.
