Strong is the principal of Strong Studio NYC LLC. His Lower East Side graphic design studio creates corporate identities, editorial and publication design, package design and environmental design for a variety of clients including The New York Times, ESPN, Starwood Hotels, American Express and Hasbro. Prior to establishing Strong Studio, he served as the Creative Director for Madison Square Garden which involved overseeing and creating season identities for the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers as well as work for Radio City Music Hall and the New York Liberty. Matthew began his professional career at SME Branding, establishing a prominent print division to compliment the identity side of the company. There he worked on print and identity projects for clients such as the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, AFL and NCAA sports teams. In 1999, Matthew graduated from Pratt Institute with highest honors from the Communications Design department, where he has been enjoying teaching since 2004. Matthew teaches Junior-level Package Design as well as Graphic Design Senior Project.
