Biography

Child of a family of painters, photographers and musicians, Shuppert has pursued his career as both a photographer and cinematographer-director since 1987 creating imagery, both still and moving, for Fortune 500 companies, major retailers and charitable organizations throughout the United States. He was director of photography for three recent feature-length films, has directed and/or worked as DP on a dozen short films and two branding films for major corporations. One of his short films, True Love, was an official selection in the 2007 Woodstock Film Festival, 2007 Miami Short Film Festival and 2007 New York Independent Film & Video Festival. His background includes working as type director of a major advertising agency in Dallas, Texas (1983-1987) and 13 years experience as a professional advertising photographer. Studied photography 1985-1990 both in college and as first assistant to Art Center of Design 1982 magna cum laude graduate Stephen E. Seeger.
