Biography

David Ormes is an alumnus of Pratt Institute’s Communications Design Program and is a founding partner of Big Rig Creative. His experience is diverse working in identity design, traditional and online advertising, Web and interactive design and development, motion graphics and broadcast design. He has worked with clients such as: America Online, adidas, The United States Ski Team, The United States Snowboard Team, US Swimming, Snowsports Industries America, Citibank, BCBG Max Azria, NYC2012, Universal Music Group, Cingular, Wireless, PR Newsire, Smart Money and many more. He has been featured in Communication Arts Interactive Annual 7, Webby Awards Winner of the People’s Choice, Print Magazine, Pulp Magazine, World’s Best Online Campaigns, Cool Sites. His company has received 17 Davie Awards (Gold and Silver), a Webby Award, a Telly Award, and a W3 Award for Web Excellence. He has lectured abroad at Mexico’s Center for Latin American Art Studies teaching in Merida, Yucatan teaching American design trends and techniques. During his studies at Pratt, he received the Art Director’s Club of New York Scholarship two years concurrently, served as Art Director of The Prattler, Prattfolio and held a position as Junior Designer at Pratt’s Office of Publications.
