Biography

Whitney Kruckenberg is a PhD candidate in the Department of Art History at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. She specializes in French Impressionism and is writing a dissertation on the prints of Edgar Degas, Mary Cassatt and Camille Pissarro and the concept of the belle épreuve, or fine art print during the second half of the nineteenth century.  She has presented papers at the Annual Interdisciplinary Nineteenth-Century Studies Conference at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and at the Annual Nineteenth-Century French Studies Colloquium at Vanderbilt and at Yale.
