Biography

Rael Lewis is a specialist in nineteenth- and twentieth-century art with a focus on fin-de-siècle visual culture. He is currently writing a book on the imagery of absinthe and intoxication in modern Paris. Before coming to Pratt, he taught at UCLA, Bowdoin College, Villanova University, and the Claremont Colleges.
