Biography

Elena FitzPatrick Sifford is a specialist in Colonial Latin American art, with an emphasis on ritual arts and material culture in New Spain (Mexico.) She has presented papers in New Orleans, Mexico City, and New York, and is currently a Writer-in Residence at the New York Public Library's Wertheim study. She was previously a Graduate Teaching Fellow in the art department at Lehman College, CUNY.
